A plane with 162 passengers aboard came within yards of plunging into the Black Sea when it skidded off an icy runway while trying to land. The passengers had a lucky escape when the wheels of the plane dug into the freezing mud at Trabzon Airport in Turkey – leaving it dangling off a coastal cliff.
Safety inspectors closed Trabzon Airport overnight as a precaution.
