Kidnappers Demand N500m Ransom To Free Jonathan's Uncle
Abductors of Inengite Nitabai, the septuagenarian cousin of President Goodluck Jonathan, have requested a whooping N500m ransom to set him free.
The outrageous demand, it was learnt, had unsettled members of Nitabai’s family who were said to be running from pillar to post to find a solution to the matter.
A security source told our correspondent that the abductors threatened to kill their victim if the family failed to produce the money.

Lawyer Arrested for Attempting to Bribe EFCC Operatives
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a legal practitioner, Barrister Ayodele Owoka, 47, over allegations of bribery. He was arrested on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Commission’s office in Ikoyi, Lagos as he attempted to bribe a team of operatives investigating a case of contract inflation, abuse of office, stealing, embezzlement and misappropriation of funds at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo State.

Gunmen Attacks Gov Nyako Convoy
The convoy of the governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako was attacked by gunmen believed to be Boko Haram insurgents earlier today.
The incident occurred at Shuwari area of the State, as the governor was returning from paying a condolence visit to victims of Boko Haram attacks two days ago.

A middle-aged man, identified as Mr. Ogadinma Chukwu, has reportedly died in Aba, Abia State while having sex with a prostitute (name unknown) in one of the popular brothels on St. Michael’s Road, Aba.
The incident, it was learnt, forced people at the brothel to flee. The area was deserted, as traders and shop owners closed businesses to avoid arrest.

Police drop fraud charges against Lagos ex-deputy gov
The police have dropped the N130m fraud charges it instituted against a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, before a Federal High Court, Lagos.
Justice Mohammed Yunusa, in a short ruling, struck out the charges on Wednesday upon an application by the prosecuting counsel, Mr. Effiong Asuquo, for the withdrawal of the charges against Ojikutu.
