Mobile phone service cut off in Borno

Military authorities have for the second time, ordered a total shut down of all telecommunication services in Maiduguri, Borno state capital. Residents of the state woke up this morning to realize that they are now out of GSM services. It was a deliberate act from the military to combat the Boko Haram terrorists. Residents of Borno State only had their phone services restored on the 3rd of December, 2013 after the military had, last year, grounded all telecommunications services for six months.
