We knew the ship that was carrying Jaywon and Kennis Music was going to face misfortune even before that business ship capsized and left the parties running to court to settle their irreconcilable differences.
Kennis had hung their former artiste with clauses binding them together and we were left in suspense on what would finally happen to Jaywon who couldn’t take out the rope from his neck.
He was expected to produce extra two albums before he can be free from the tentacles of Kennis…Months later, Jaywon wants his fans to know that he is not having a legal tussle with Kennis any longer, he is on his own after his contract expired.
Today, the artiste has been doing it slow and steady with his own label formed, though he has refused to reveal the name of this label until he is ready to go live with his promotions, from Lagos to another state we see Jaywon who is trying to put new singles out.
He has collaborated with Olamide, May D and Phyno in some hit tracks, when Jaywon was pressed to talk about what must have caused his differences with Kennis, he refused to dwell in the past and doesn’t want to get into controversy again, smart guy, he wants us to let him do it his own way when it comes to music and we are doing that.
