Armed Robbers Hijacked Bullion Van And Escape With Millions Of Naira

Each time a bullion van is passing in major cities in Nigeria, cars park for it to move past, people stand as daredevil drivers and policemen drive recklessly like kings.

Sometimes, bad men don’t always like this special treatment on vans carrying money which is the reason why we hear sad stories when these vans are attacked.

Yesterday, in Delta State, armed robbers had snatched one bullion van carrying several hundreds of millions of naira.
These robbers didn’t just take the money, they had shot the policemen with the bullion van.

A policeman is reportedly killed while his colleagues including those around the scene of the robbery were injured.
This happened at the Ubulu Okiti portion of Asaba-Benin Expressway. The gun men were prepared to pick the money and they did.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the robbery, said nobody was killed.

She said, “Several of our men and civilians were injured and are receiving treatment in hospitals.”
The amount stolen was not named.
