Barcelona think they will be able to sign Luis Suarez for a knock-down £40million following his biting shame at the World Cup in Brazil.
The news comes as the Catalan club begin negotiations to try and lure the Uruguayan to the Nou Camp, with his lawyer flying into Spain to discuss personal terms.
Suarez was yesterday banned from all football activities for four months after biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini, but Fifa has since confirmed he would be allowed to transfer to a new team during that time.
AS reports that Barca are happy to sign Suarez as long as he publically apologies for the bite, and believe the incident has actually pushed him towards a Liverpool exit.
The paper says senior Barcelona management believe Liverpool want to sell the player now, and he could be available for a cut-price fee.
Barca are expect to open the bidding at £40million, and will leave little room for negotiation, believing they have the upper hand in the deal.
