According to Football Italia, Carlos Tevez will sign for Corinthians despite his agent revealing Juventus wanted the striker back.
Juventus allowed Tevez to return to Boca Juniors last summer but it has now been revealed by Tevez’s agent that Juventus were interested in bringing him back to the club before he agreed to sign for another one of his former teams – Corinthians.
“Obviously we can only say Carlos is a Corinthians player after the signatures,” Kia Joorabchian (Tevez’s agent) told reporters in Argentina.
“We’re talking about a done deal though, the transfer is done it’s just missing the signature on the contract. There were offers from Juventus, Atletico Madrid and two English clubs but Carlos prefers to go back to Brazil.”
Tevez, 32, managed to score 9 goals in 23 appearances during his second spell at Boca Juniors and will most likely look to retire at his next destination (Corinthians).
