Alexandre Lacazette’s agent denies agreement with Atletico Madrid

Alexandre Lacazette's agent delivers good news to Arsenal

Alexandre Lacazette is a target for a host of top European clubs but he has not agreed a deal to join Atletico Madrid, the Lyon striker’s agent has confirmed.
The 25-year-old is attracting interest from across Europe after scoring 28 goals in 34 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this term.

Arsenal had a £28million bid rejected for Lacazette last summer but the Gunners are expected to re-enter the race for the France international with Alexis Sanchez increasingly likely to leave the Emirates.

Lyon’s president admitted earlier this month that the club could lose Lacazette and reports in Spain claimed Atletico Madrid had agreed a move for the striker after meeting the forward’s representatives.

However, Lacazette’s agent, David Beneditelli, has denied an agreement is in place and says the forward is wanted by a number of club.
‘There has been no meeting with Atletico Madrid,’ confirmed Beneditelli.
‘But there is no doubt that they like Alexandre and other top clubs like the Colchoneros [Atletico Madrid].’
