Married Indian Man Fakes Terror Plot in Airport to Avoid Going on Vacation with Girlfriend

A married Indian man allegedly fakes terror plot in Airport just to avoid going on vacation with his girlfriend.
The 32-year-old married man, Motaparthi Vamshi Krishna, reportedly went to extra lengths to avoid going on vacation with his side-chick by reporting a fake a terror plot to the police.
Police in Hyderabad arrested Krishna, on Thursday for allegedly staging an intricate prank about an aircraft hijacking plot.
According to a statement from Hyderabad City Police, Krishna emailed the Mumbai police claiming to be a woman who overheard six men at a hotel plotting to hijack planes in the cities of Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai, India.
As a result of the ‘tip off’, security was beefed up at the three airports.
However, after police tracked him down by tracing the IP address of the computer the email was sent from and CCTV footage, Krishna ended up admitting that he fabricated the story.
During police interrogation, Krishna, a travel agent, who has one child with his wife, said he staged the deception after his online girlfriend proposed a vacation to Mumbai and Goa. Since he he couldn’t afford the expenses of embarking on the trip with her, he had to come up with something.
He said even though he told his girlfriend that he couldn’t financially afford the trip, she refused to take no for an answer.
So Krishna decided he would try to make it look like the airline cancelled the trip, and was seemingly too scared that his girlfriend would no longer speak to him if he cancelled the trip himself, so he went online and created a fake airline ticket, emailed it to his girlfriend, then tipped off the police about the phony terror plot from an internet cafe.
Speaking at a press conference, B. Limba Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Commissioner’s Task Force in Hyderabad, who led the investigation, said;
“He didn’t have the money, but if he cancelled because of that, it would have hurt his pride, and his friendship with the girl would’ve come to an end”. “So, his thinking was that if the flight was to be cancelled and it was because of the airport, he wouldn’t be at fault.”
Krishna was arrested on four charges, including impersonation and providing false information. The charges could result in up to five years in prison and a fine of 150 AUD (about $114).
