Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has said there is currently a 60 percent chance he will join Manchester United this summer.
Reports have suggested United could bid £85 million (€100 million) for the 26-year old, and his adviser has said Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona have also made enquiries.
And though he said last week that he was happy at Atletico, he said on French television on Monday night that a decision on a move will happen soon.
“My future will be decided within two weeks,” Griezmann said on Quotidien when asked about the links to United.
Asked to rate the chances of a move to Old Trafford on a scale of one to 10, Griezmann answered: “Six.”
ESPN FC reports that United boss Jose Mourinho is looking to add two forwards to his squad this summer after concerns over the ability of his current strikers to make the team competitive in every competition.
Griezmann remains the top target and Mourinho is confident that the club’s spending power and ambition has put them in pole position to sign the Frenchman — potentially breaking the record fee the club paid for Paul Pogba a year earlier.
Griezmann’s decision could also have a domino effect in the transfer market, as Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette has expressed an interest in joining his French teammate at Atletico.
