Manchester United could revive Antoine Griezmann interest

Man Utd ready to consider reviving Griezmann interest due to Morata complications

Manchester United are reportedly ready to consider trying again for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann due to struggling to strike a deal with Real Madrid over Alvaro Morata.
The Red Devils are desperate to land a big-name attacking player this summer as Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks set to leave the club at the end of his contract later this month.

Reports have suggested Morata is United’s priority target to replace Ibrahimovic up front, but it may not be so simple for Jose Mourinho in what has proven to be a complicated summer so far.

Griezmann started off as United’s most likely option to come in, before his club Atletico Madrid were hit with a transfer ban that would prevent them signing a much-needed replacement for the Frenchman.

Romelu Lukaku had also been linked but now looks set for Chelsea, leading United to target Morata, though Real Madrid’s desire to land David de Gea as part of the deal makes the transfer more unlikely.

Due to United’s strong desire to keep hold of their goalkeeper, they could still end up opting to go after Griezmann again instead of pursuing Morata, according to the Daily Mail.
Elsewhere, some reports suggest United are stepping up their interest in Torino striker Andrea Belotti as another alternative option to strengthen up front.
