American authorities say there have been “multiple fatalities ” in a shooting in a commercial district in Orlando , Florida on Monday.
The Orange County Sheriff ’ s Department tweeted that deputies were at a “ shooting scene that has stabilised , ” with the situation “ contained . ”
Orlando was the scene of a massacre on June 12 , 2016 , when a gunman vowing allegiance to the Islamic State movement killed 49 people in a gay night club .
