Teen Accidentally Kills Girlfriend With Gun He Received As Graduation Gift

A teenager mistakenly killed his girlfriend while playing around with a gun her father had bought him as a graduation present, according to reports.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said 18-year-old Brennan Fields from Tennessee was playing with the gun when it accidentally went off.

The shot hit his 19-year-old girlfriend Lucinda Luna while she was lying on a couch opposite the chair Fields was sat on.

Tragically, despite being rushed to hospital, Lucinda died from the accident, Yahoo reports.

“By all indications, there was no intent for this to happen,” Shelby County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Earle Farrell told WMC.

Kara Stubblefield, a childhood friend of Luna said

"This is going to hurt real bad for him,”Like he's not going to get over this for a long time. I am just worried about Brennan really and her parents too.”

Fields is not expected to face charges.
