Nigerians react after President Buhari visits Emir of Kano but failed to visit Obi of Onitsha when in Anambra

President Muhammadu Buhari visited the Emir of Kano while on a two-day working visit to Kano state and Nigerians are beginning to draw a parallel between this visit and the time he visited Anambra but failed to pay a visit to the Obi of Onitsha.


When Buhari visited Anambra in November, a lot of people called out the Obi of Onitsha for not going to Awka to visit the president, while some others defended his actions, saying it was the place of the president to pay him a courtesy visit in his palace. The debate died down after a few days but was resurrected a day ago when photos of Buhari visiting Emir of Kano Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II at his palace emerged.
