Pregnant mom who mysteriously disappeared found wandering in the streets

A pregnant Queens woman who disappeared under mysterious circumstances earlier this week was found wandering the streets of lower Manhattan early Friday, police said.

Amarit Kuar, 34, was found about 6 a.m. roughly 15 miles from her home in South Richmond Hill.



She appeared to be in good health. Medics took her to Lower Manhattan Hospital for observation.

Police are now trying to find out where she has been and why she abandoned her car, cell phone and a worried husband and children behind,NY Daily News reports.

“On the face of it, it does not appear that she is a victim of a crime, but we are still investigating why she disappeared,” a police source said.

The NYPD is also doing an internal review to find out why her panicked husband’s report to police was initially deemed unfounded and a report wasn’t taken for several hours.
