Tottenham Star, Harry Kane Pictured With Clutches Following Ankle Injury

Harry Kane has been pictured wearing a protective boot and hobbling on crutches just 24 hours after a nasty ankle injury against Bournemouth. The 24-year-old Tottenham striker limped off after suffering a sickening ankle twist in their 4-1 win over the Cherries on Sunday.

Kane was due to have a scan today to discover the extent of the damage – but it was postponed until the swelling subsides. The injury comes just 99 days before England’s World Cup opener.

The England man rolled his ankle in a collision with Bournemouth’s Asmir Begovic while scoring a goal, which was subsequently disallowed by referee Mike Dean.

Superstar Kane attempted to return to the pitch but after a lengthy consultation with the club’s doctor headed down the tunnel – throwing a water bottle in frustration.

The news is a huge blow for England boss Gareth Southgate, who will announce his squad on Thursday for the friendlies away to Holland and home to Italy.

Kane suffered two ankle injuries last season and missed a total of 14 matches as a result – the last almost 12 months ago to the day.
