Patrice Evra could be on the brink of following Manchester United team-mate Nemanja Vidic’s lead by making a summer switch to Inter Milan.
The Italian giants’ sporting director Piero Ausilio has reportedly made out-of-contract Evra an offer to move to the San Siro.
Centre-half Vidic, whose United deal also expires at the end of the current campaign, announced earlier this month that he would be joining Inter.
In the build-up to Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Olympiakos, Evra refused to talk about his own future saying: ‘It is not a good day to talk about my future. The future of Manchester United is more important.’
The 32-year-old Frenchman played in the 3-0 victory at Old Trafford which saw United book a place in the last eight, but will miss the first leg of the quarter-final after collecting a second-half booking for a rash challenge on Nelson Valdez.
Inter are also keen on Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna and French radio station RMC says Ausilio was in London on Wednesday to discuss terms with the French right-back.
