There’s an eye-catching report in the Sunday Times this weekend revealing a failed transfer objective for former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.
According to the broadsheet, when Man United’s troubles became apparent in January, LVG tried to boost his side by signing Watford striker Odion Ighalo.
United offered the Hornets £35 million for Ighalo, but Watford rejected the offer.
