Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez team up for contract talks

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez team up to hold Arsenal to ransom with ruthless ultimatum

Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have teamed up in an attempt to secure huge wage increases, according to reports.
Ozil and Sanchez are both out of contract next summer and have so far refused offers from the club to extend their stay.

The attacking pair currently earn around £140,000 a week at the Emirates, but are now targeting an incredible wage bump.
The Mirror claim Ozil and Sanchez want in excess of £350,000 per week each to stay at the Emirates.

One man who is staying put is Arsene Wenger who will remain at the helm for another two years after Arsenal finally confirmed he had signed a new contract.
Ozil has been offered £280,000 a week to stay at the club, but the winger is not interested in any deal under the £350,000 a week mark and is prepared to walk this summer.
Sanchez, on the other hand, has told Arsenal he will see out the final 12 months of his deal.

Ozil and Sanchez are well aware that Arsenal cannot afford to let them run out the last year of their contracts and walk away from the club for free next summer.
The attacking duo therefore believe they are in the driving seat and can secure the £350,000-a-week deals they crave.
Wenger has reportedly been given a £100 million transfer kitty to sign a host of new names this summer.

The Frenchman is considering overhauling his squad after a dismal season.
Arsenal managed to end the campaign on a high as they beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
But the squad’s character and quality was seriously questioned this season as their league campaign saw them finish fifth and miss out on Champions League football.
