Man City 5 : 0 Liverpool: City show class in an easy win

Manchester City showed class in an easy win against Liverpool in their Premier League game by scoring five goals against helpless Reds. Sadio Mane was given his marching orders in the 37 minutes for a wrong play against City’s goalkeeper Ederson Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero put the Etihad outfit ahead after De Bruyne slips a through pass into his path, who does what he does best, by rounding the on rushing Mignolet, he calmly slots into the empty net in the 24th minute of the game.

The game becomes worse for Liverpool when Sadio Mane was sent off from the field for dangerous play against Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, When the ball was lobbed over the top of the City’s defence and Mane goes after it, with Ederson rushing out to meet him the keeper tries to head the ball as it’s on the edge of the box, Mane goes up with the high boot (eyes on the ball) and connects with said head. Mane was shown a straight red card for his action and Ederson, on the other hand, was unable to continue as he was replaced by Claudio Bravo. City made it two again before the end of the first half De Bruyne instrumental again as he picked out a perfect cross right onto the head of Gabriel Jesus, who headed it home as his header flies past a helpless Mignolet and the writing is now very much on the wall for Liverpool. The start of the second half witnessed a further goal rain for Manchester City as Gabriel Jesus was on the score sheet again and a brace from Leroy Sane seal the victory for Pep Guardiola men against 10-man Liverpool.

The result makes it the first time Manchester City will score five goals against Liverpool since 1937 at the moment Manchester City top the English Premier League standing.
