Kidnapped Victim Rescued By Policemen, Snatched Vehicles Recovered

The Benue State Police Command on 03/02/18 at about 2000hrs received an information that a Toyota Corolla salon with reg. no. SEL 726 AA was snatched from its owner on gunpoint at Joecy Hotel Makurdi and one Alexander Princess abducted by some criminals.

On receipt of the information, Police Anti Crime Patrol Team went in pursuit of the criminal gang. The hoodlums who were traced to an abandoned building, on sighting the Police fired some gunshots and fled in different direction.


However, the victim was rescued unhurt, while the following items were recovered:
i. One AK47 rifle no. KD353450X2
ii. 2 locally fabricated Beretta pistols
iii. 70 live ammunition
iv. 13 expended ammunition
v. 4 live cartridges
vi. 9 expended cartridges
vii. a generator
viii. a bag containing some items
x. One cutlass
xi. Army camouflage trouser and cap
xii. An Ash color Toyota Corolla with reg no LFA 927 TN and the one earlier snatched from Joecy Hotel were recovered.
