The Nigerian Senate has constituted a committee to investigate the allegation of gun running leveled against one of their colleagues, Dino Melaye, by the Nigerian police.
Recall that last week, the police paraded two suspects that allegedly confessed to have been given arms and money by Dino Melaye to terrorise the state.
Dino had in various publications, denied the allegations, accusing Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello and some strong politicians, of being behind the allegations. He also alleged that there are plans to kill him extrajudicially.
Over the weekend, the Nigeria Police Service said it will declare Dino wanted if he fails to honor the invitation sent to him by the Kogi state police command, to answer to the gun running allegations.
