Vincent Janssen should complete his move to White Hart Lane any day now, while in the past few days Spurs have been linked with attacking midfielders.
Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze has been linked with Spurs, while on Monday the rumours are Newcastle’s Georginio Wijnaldum may join Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Gotze is expensive, Wijnaldum’s price tag
According to the Mirror, Tottenham are likley to miss out on Gotze as the German World Cup winner is deemed too expensive.
Moreover, the tabloid tells their readers:
Mirror Sport understands Gotze is expected to opt for a move back to Dortmund to revive his career over a switch to the Premier League.
Also on Monday, the Newcastle Chronicle have an update on Dutch midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.
It’s reported that Newcastle want £30 million for the player, while it’s also announced:
[Newcastle] believe that Spurs are the closest to striking a deal because they can offer players in part-exchange. Tottenham fringe men Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard are not named in the report, but they’re understood to be among the players who would be offered at White Hart Lane.
