African China: Singer Laments As New Generation Artistes Reject Him

Reggae singer, African China, has complained about the attitude of some new generational artistes who he described as disrespectful.

The legendary singer, whose career was at its pinnacle in the mid 2000s spoke specifically about the way some artistes who are on top at the moment treat him when he asks for a collaboration.
He said, “I’ve been a victim of one of the new generation of artistes turning me down but I won’t want to mention names here. At the end of the day they act like they’re willing to do it but they put you through the manager whatever and it’s annoying sometimes.
Fine, you gave me your number, we talked about it and you gave me your number your phone rings and you don’t respond, it’s crazy.”
He also asserted in his chat with Planet TV that many of such artiste eventually become humble when their stocks drop. “The funny mistake they make now is (I’ve come across few of them) that time when they were raving, they make it difficult for somebody to come close to them, then when their rave drops, come and see them trying to associate with everybody. You will see then shining that their stupid 32 teeth. They would now come to people like us and ask how have you been doing it that you kept the sustenance there,” he said.
