Islamic school teacher arraigned over alleged defilement of 8-year-old pupil

   

A primary school teacher, Abdukadiri Olaitan, on Tuesday appeared before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, charged with defilement of an eight-year-old girl.

Olaitan, 23, who resides at No. 1 Ajisegiri St, Ilupeju, Lagos, is standing trial on a charge of having unlawful carnal knowledge of a minor.

Fire guts PDP secretariat in Ekiti

  

Ekiti State – Peoples Democratic Party’s secretariat in Ajilosun area of Ekiti State capital Ado-Ekiti was set on fire in early hours of Tuesday.

It was learnt that a number of unknown persons gained access to the building, forcibly entered the Chairman’s office and set in on fire. The fire affected a section of the first floor of the secretariat, as various party documents and files were reportedly consumed by the flames.

Rapper and producer Sean 'Diddy' Combs is reverting back to making music under the name Puff Daddy for his new album.

Combs has gone by the name Diddy for almost 10 years and was known as P Diddy before that.

Men of the Lagos Fire Service and other emergency agency officials are said to have arrived the scene.

China sells BOTTLED AIR to tourists as smog described as 'environmental crisis'

                               

China is offering a breath of fresh air to tourists affected by its high pollution levels – with plans to sell bottles of oxygen.

In an attempt to address its dangerous smog levels - described as an environmental crisis by the World Health Organisation - canned air is due to hit the streets.

The bottles of air will to be manufactured as part of a tourism scheme by authorities in the southwestern Guizhou province.

Chairman, Lagos Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, Tunde Fowler has resigned to pursue his governorship ambition of governing Lagos next year.

P.M. NEWS reliably gathered that Fowler has submitted his resignation letter to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. The resignation will take effect from 1 June, 2014.
