Kenyan herder charged with murder of ranch owner

A Kenyan herdsman has been charged with the murder of Laikipia rancher Tristan Voorspuy.
Mr Samson Lokayi, alias Tepatuk Kachartat, pleaded not guilty to the offence and the court ordered that he be detained at Nanyuki GK Prison until May 10 when his bail application will be determined.

Lawyer demands refund of N400, 000 dowry from wife

A 30-year-old lawyer, Usman Ahmed, on Tuesday, asked his 25-year-old wife, Zainab Abdulkadir, to refund N400,000 dowry paid on her as a condition for divorce.
Ahmed made the request when he appeared before a Jos Upper Area Court, where Zainab filed a suit seeking dissolution of the marriage.
Zainab had sought dissolution of the marriage for lack of interest by her husband.

A 32-year old man, Obinna Arthur and his wife, Chinyere Arthur have been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for their alleged involvement in the rape of his wife’s friend at a popular hotel in Egbeda, Lagos.

P M.EXPRESS gathered that the couple, who reside at Ogundipe Street in Santos Layout in Akowonjo, Lagos, lured the victim to Greenland hotel in Egbeda where the victim was drugged and took into the hotel room where she was stripped, raped and the sexual violation was recorded with a video phone.

Caitlin Nelson, a college student whose father was killed in the 9/11 attacks died after choking on her food during a pancake-eating competition.

According to witnesses, the 20-year-old from New Jersey started choking during the contest last Thursday, March 30th, after eating about four or five pancakes. 

Jealous husband stabs wife of 20 years to death after he discovers she's having an affair


For Stuart Gallear, 51, and his late wife, Mandy Gallear, 42, their story is not the happily ever after every couple hopes for when they get married. The couple's marriage of 20 years ended on October 6 last year when Stuart stabbed Mandy repeatedly with a kitchen knife at their home in Hindley, near Wigan in England.


Stuart had just found out his wife was having an affair with his mate a day before and he lost it during an argument with her and stabbed her then he quickly called for an ambulance but by the time it came, Mandy was found unresponsive on the kitchen floor. Stuart is being tried in Manchester Crown Court.

Police arrest 51-year-old for defiling son’s friend

Operatives of the Abia State Police Command have arrested one Daniel Emeka, 51, for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old boy identified as Ndubuisi in a hotel room in Aba.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Adeleye Oyebade, who paraded the suspect on Monday at the command headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, said he was arrested sequel to a tip-off that the suspect lured and abused young boys in his hotel.
Oyebade said Ndubuisi’s mother, Ifeoma, had reported the disappearance of her son on March 24, 2017, after which operatives placed the suspect’s hotel and house under surveillance.

The dog stopped the teenage suicide bomber from detonating her explosives in the crowd.

A Federal High Court judge in Abuja has advised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to deploy its arresting powers to produce before the court those indicted in the controversial $1.1 billion Oil Prospecting Licence (OPL) 245 transaction (also known as the Malabu Oil deal).
Justice John Tsoho gave the advice yesterday when EFCC counsel Jonson Ojogbane made a request for direction when two of the three charges the commission filed in relation to the Malabu Oil deal were mentioned.

A 47-year-old man was convicted of rape because he took off a condom during sex.

According to the news agency RTS, a criminal court in Switzerland ruled that if a condom was expected but not used, having intercourse without one legally constitutes sexual assault.
The French man met a Swiss woman on Tinder back in 2015. The woman said she only discovered the condom had been removed once they had finished having sex. The man received a 12-month suspended sentence after his conviction.

Chinese technology company Tencent has purchased a five per cent share in Tesla in a deal worth approximately $1.7 billion.

A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission confirms that the second highest valued tech firm in Asia purchased 8,167,433 shares in the Silicon Valley electric startup. The move sent Tesla's share price up by three per cent in pre-market trading and makes Tencent one of Tesla's largest shareholders, Tech Crunch reports.

NO fewer than 15 persons were feared killed in an outbreak of fighting between herdsmen and farmers at Ipiga village in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State.

Vanguard gathered from a source in the area that the crisis erupted Sunday afternoon, when some armed herdsmen stormed neigbouring Ajegbe village, where they grazed their cattle and destroyed farmlands.
