10 Billion Naira Jet Scandal: Why I Would Not Honour House’s Invitation - Alison-Madueke

The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, has given reasons why she would not honour the invitation by the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, stating that the committee is yet to fulfill the conditions precedent for inviting public officers.
One of such conditions Alison-Madueke is insisting is that both chambers of the National Assembly are constitutionally required to show that they have passed a resolution duly published in their journal (Hansard) or in the official gazette of the Government of the Federation.

The Nigerian military say they know where the girls kidnapped by Boko Haram are but they will not attempt a rescue.
Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff said it was "good news for the parents," although he admitted the military would not risk "going there with force."

Two middle –aged men identified as Olusoga Ogunbanjo (39) and Bambo Sholeye (42) have slumped and died in Lagos after watching the crucial match in the UEFA championship final match between Atiletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
It was gathered that the duo, who lived in Lagos Island slumped and died when their team ( Real Madrid)  failed to equalise one goal at end of the 90 minutes game.

Lakhan Kale has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and is unable to communicate with others.
His grandmother Sakhubai, who tied him up while she went off to sell toys and flower garlands by the road, said: ‘What else can I do? He can’t talk, so how will he tell anyone if he gets lost?’
