Lagos LG polls: No room for PDP win in any council – Tinubu


National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would not record any win in the forthcoming council polls in Lagos State.

Tinubu, a former governor of the state, said this while addressing hundreds of party faithful at the Lagos State APC Stakeholders’ meeting at the party secretariat at Acme Road, Ikeja.

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has already agreed to big-money move to Barcelona this summer, according to reports in the Spanish press.
The Brazil international, who has scored 10 goals in 29 Premier League appearances this season, has been linked with the Spanish champions after continuing his impressive form under Jurgen Klopp. Barcelona-based newspaper Sport claims the Nou Camp club have already entered into informal talks with Coutinho’s camp over a possible move to Spain.

A Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja on Monday sentenced a 15-year-old cattle rearer,  Haruna Usman, to death for culpable homicide.
 
He was found guilty of stabbing one Happy David following an argument.
 
Usman, a Fulani, was facing a one-count of culpable homicide punishable with death under Section 221 of the Penal Code. The offence was said to have been committed on the 28th  July 2015 at Emiworo village in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
