A Zimbabwean man has been arrested for attempting to sell his eight-year-old daughter to a businessman for rituals.
Tapiwa Vhutani (27) of Kumboedza Farm in Kadoma was arrested after he continuously pestered businessman Obert Juru – son to Bishop Ollah Juru – that he was selling his daughter for $12 000.

Army arrest Boko Haram Militant, Aliyu Ahmed


The Nigerian Army on Saturday confirmed the arrest of a suspected Boko Haram militant, Aliyu Ahmed, alias “Aliko.” The army spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, said in a statement that “Aliko” was arrested on Friday by troops of 33 Brigade following a tip off in Yuga village, Toro local government area of Bauchi State, where he has been hiding.

A 22-year-old woman was fatally stabbed during a fight in the French Quarter early Thursday, and investigators later obtained a warrant to arrest her cousin in the slaying.

Brittany Seymour was stabbed to death during a loud argument that began in the 200 block of Decatur Street about 1:15 a.m. and then escalated into a fight in the 300 block. Onlookers had broken up the scuffle when Seymour realized she had been cut, authorities said.

The Frenchman who killed his wife in a horrific murder suicide by tying her to rail tracks before leaping in front of a 200mph express train did so on the woman's 34th birthday.  Émilie Hallouin and Guillaume Grémy died in Beauvilliers, northern France.

Police said that 34-year-old Hallouin's wrists and ankles had been bound to the tracks with strong polythene tape and her body had been severed into pieces by the train. Grémy, 37 had not been tied to the tracks, but his body was found scattered along several hundred yards of track, officials said.
