Netflix announces plan to shoot ‘House of Cards’ final season without Kevin Spacey


Netflix has announced that its hit show “House of Cards” will be returning for its sixth and final season without star Kevin Spacey.

Netflix’s content chief Ted Sarandos made the announcement, saying Robin Wright will be the season’s lead. Production for the season had been suspended indefinitely after Spacey was accused of sexual harassment by actor Anthony Rapp.

A man in his 60s, Rafiu Olalekan, has been remanded in Agodi Prison for the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl. He was sent to prison by an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo state.

The Magistrate, Modupeola Olagbenro, in her ruling remanded Olalekan in the prison pending the outcome of the case file at the state Directorate of Public Prosecution as her court does not have jurisdiction to try the case.

An FCT High Court in Gudu on Tuesday adjourned final written addresses in former Taraba governor, Jolly Nyame’s alleged N1.64 billion fraud case until Jan. 23, 2018.

Nyame is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a 21-count charge of misappropriating Taraba funds to the tune of N1.64 billion while in office.
The EFCC counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), told the court that he needed to put the proceedings in order to establish more facts on the case.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted the former Minister of State for Finance, Mrs. Nenadi Usman, the permission to travel to the United States of America, USA, for medical care.

Justice Aikawa, who granted the permission on Tuesday, also ordered that Mrs. Nenadi Usman’s passport be released to her to enable her travel to USA from December 18.

18 year-old phone thief forced to dance round Warri market, swim inside mud


The Igbudu Market Vigilante on Tuesday December 5 nabbed and punished an 18 year-old-boy, Avwerosuo Esekomeh, for allegedly robbing a Pastor and imbecile of his mobile phone in Igbudu market on Monday December 3 at about 8pm in Warri.

The suspect later joined neighbors at Old Welfare Street and mobilized in search of the phone which he allegedly stole from the imbecile preacher that night.

A Brooklyn woman who climbed onto the subway tracks to retrieve her dropped purse was hit by a train and lost both of her legs below the knee, authorities said Monday.

Man ‘Stabs Brother-in-law At Least 25 Times In Horrific Bus Attack’.


A 37-year-old dad-of-three allegedly stabbed his brother-in-law at least 25 times in a horrifying bus attack – leaving him partially disembowelled. The 50-year-old victim was knifed dozens of times in the attack, which occurred after a row flared up between the pair, prosecutors claim.
