Police have reportedly found marijuana hidden under the belly fat of a 450lb man.
Christopher Mitchell, aka ‘Fat Boy’, had apparently tried to conceal the drugs after being stopped in Volusia County, Florida.

Gunmen have abducted 78-year-old Patimi Akene, the mother of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Mr. Furoebi Akene. The abduction of Patimi came 18 days after Ogboro Orumo, 90-year-old mother-in-law of Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Tombowei Benson, was kidnapped. Orumo’s whereabouts had remained unknown since May 30 when her abductors whisked her away from her residence in Krokorosei in the same Southern Ijaw Local Government Area. Sources said Patimi was kidnapped on Saturday by six gunmen at Ofoinbiri community.

1, 000 APC members defect to PDP in Kwara


No fewer than 1,000 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara, on Sunday in Ilorin defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defectors who were from the seven wards in Ilorin West Local Government Area, were received by Mustapha Isowo, State Vice chairman (Central) of the PDP, at Alore in Ajikobi ward, Ilorin.
