Geologist and lecturer at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Dr. Kistso Ngargbu, has given scientific reasons why Zuma Rock in Abuja got engulfed by fire few days ago. If it wasn’t grasses on the rock that caught fire but rather the rock itself that was on fire, then it would be a volcanic phenomenon.

Two teenage boys have been arrested, allegedly for the kidnap and rape of a teenage schoolgirl in Bauchi.

The teenagers were said to have kidnapped the 16-year-old girl on her way to school and allegedly took her to a mountain in GRA, Bauchi, were they took turns to rape her.

Google refuses to share salary data with US govt

Google has refused to share salary information requested by the US Labour Department, saying that it would cost too much to retrieve the data.

According to a report in ReCode on Friday, the US Labour Department has sued Google for salary records, arguing it is legally entitled to on grounds that Google is a government contractor.

Two killed, others injured as cultists attack night club

Two persons were killed and others injured in an attack on a night club in Ijebu–Igbo, Ogun State, by people suspected to be cultists, who shot into the crowded club on Friday night.

The Nigeria police force raided the Abuja residence of Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, on Friday.

Zabaleta joins West Ham from Man City

Argentina full-back Pablo Zabaleta will join West Ham United from Premier League rivals Manchester City, it was announced Friday.

The South African Police Service in the Northern Cape welcomes the sentencing that was handed down to Christian Cornelius (aka Christopher) Julies who was found guilty on 34 charges, ranging from rape, attempted rape and assaults in various towns and cities in the Northern Cape and North West Provinces, over a period of more than four years.

The sentencing was handed down in Northern Cape High Court in Kimberley, yesterday, 26 May. Christopher Julies received 7 life term sentences for rape and another 373 years imprisonment for rape, attempted rape and assaults. The sentences will run concurrently.
