PSG doubled Man City’s wage offer to Dani Alves – report

Dani Alves turned his back on an agreement to join Manchester City after Paris Saint-Germain offered to double what the Premier League club had agreed to pay him, ESPN reports.

Alves, 34, had verbally agreed a two-year deal to be reunited with his former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola at City but is now set to sign a contract with Ligue 1 side PSG worth around £12 million a year.

Despite the decision by the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, that his group would boycott the November 18 governorship election in Anambra state, unless a referendum was held for Biafra restoration before then, various stakeholders and various pro-Biafra groups have taken a contrary decision to that effect.

Worshippers trooped into the convention ground of Holy Ghost Fire Apostolic Church, Ogunse Estate, Sagamu Road, Ikorodu, Lagos, to catch a glimpse of ‘Jesus Christ.’

One of the walls of a building under construction in the Church was wet, and some people perceived an image on it as that of Jesus Christ, attracting worshippers and curious people.

The company also plans to have 50,000 cattle producing 500 million liters of milk a year by 2019, he said.

Hibernian to sanction Efe Ambrose for missing pre-season

Nigeria defender Efe Ambrose will most likely be sanctioned by his Scottish club Hibernian after he failed to resume for the pre-season training, his coach Neil Lennon has disclosed.

The Police in Kano have arrested two suspected fraudsters who specialise in adulteration of fertilizers and selling it to farmers.

A statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Majiya, and made available to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday, gave the names of the suspects as Nasiru Bagwai and Yahaya Kabo.

Police operatives attached to the Ndiegoro Police Division in Aba, Abia State, have arrested a man identified as Ogbonnaya Igwe, alias OGB, for allegedly shooting dead his tenant, one Mrs. Ijeoma Chibuzo.

It was gathered that Igwe, the landlord of a building located at Plot 22, Obohia Road, Aba and the deceased are indigenes of Item in the Bende Local Government Area of the state.
