Publisher of SaharaReporters, an online news agency based in New York city, United States of America, Mr Omoyele Sowore, was yesterday arrested by the Police in Lagos, over allegation of threat to life and blackmail on a London based journalist, Lekan Fatodu. Fatodu in a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Mr Fatai Owoseni, accused Sowore of publishing a story on alleged money laundering against him.

Three persons have been reanded in custody by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ado Ekiti for allegedly stealing N25m in the Ekiti Government House in Ado Ekiti, The Punch reports.
The accused – Bamidele Temitope, 36; Afolabi Sunday, 42; and Shuaib Amidu, 67 – allegedly stole N25m belonging to one Sunday Omosilade, the Personal Assistant to Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Caleb Leranmo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on December 29, 2016, at the Ekiti State Government House Lodge in Ado-Ekiti.

Baale Oloode sues Olubadan for removal

The Baale of Oloode in Oluyole Local Government of Oyo State, Chief Lukman Ilufemiloye Alao, has sued the Olubadan, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, for his removal from office.
