Nicki Minaj's Brother Jelani Maraj, 38, has been convicted of raping a minor at his Long Island home. Jurors delivered their verdict today (Nov. 9).

According to CBS NY, Maraj's lawyer says he will appeal. The victim, now 14 years old (11-years-old at the time of the incident), testified that she was repeatedly assaulted by Maraj. The victim's younger brother testified as well, claiming he witnessed one assault.

Former Super Eagles player, Godwin Okpara, was arraigned on Thursday before the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ikeja for alleged wife battery.

The 43-year old ex-football star was accused of battering his wife of 25 years, Linda.
He was arraigned on one count of wife battery contrary to Section 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

87-year-old woman pleads guilty, remanded in prison for drug trafficking


A Federal High Court in Lagos, on Thursday, remanded an 87-year-old woman, Maria Agbomabiwon, in prison custody for dealing in 10.3 kg of Marijuana.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, dragged the accused, who resides at No. 9, Osunba Street, Oto-Awori, Ijaniki, Lagos, to the court, presided by Justice Hadiza Rabiu-Shagari.

German Nurse Kills 100 Patients


A former German Nurse serving a life sentence for murdering patients by injecting them with a deadly medication is now suspected of killing more than 100 people.

If he is found guilty, this would make him one of the nation’s worst serial murderers.

Prosecutors in the northern German city of Oldenburg said on Thursday that toxicological investigations have identified a further 16 deaths that the nurse, identified as Niels H under Germany’s strict privacy laws was responsible for. In August, Oldenburg police said they believed that the 40-year-old H may have killed an additional 84 patients.

An Al-Qaeda affiliate in Mali on Wednesday claimed responsibility for four attacks on Malian and United Nations troops that it said killed six soldiers.

The Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen (NIM) said in statements that it had attacked a police post in Segou on Sunday, capturing weapons and a motorcycle.

On Monday, “fighters ambushed Malian and MINUSMA (UN mission in Mali) forces near the city of Konna in Mopti, killing six soldiers,” according to a report carried by the US monitoring group SITE.

A 46 year-old businessman, Trey Ganem, who runs a casket design company in Texas is offering free coffins to victims off the Sutherland Springs church shooting.

His seven employees build personalized coffins that usually sell for about $3,500 but he’s offering to provide free custom-made coffins for the people who died at First Baptist Church and so far, he’s gotten requests to make 15 caskets.
