Super Eagles player, Kenneth Omeruo donates to save dying coach


A Nigerian veteran coach,  Kelechi Emeteole, who is down with throat cancer, and needs at least $10,000 for his treatment, has received a donation from Super Eagles' player, Kenneth Omeruo.

The wife of the former rangers club coach, who is allegedly being owed millions by the management of  NPFL side El Kanemi Warriors who he helped get off the relegation zone last two seasons, has reportedly gotten the $6,500 cash donation from the Turkish club Alanyaspor defender.

She said;

“I want to thank Kenneth for his financial contribution towards the health of my husband.
“Iwant to also use this opportunity to beg the clubs who are owing my husband to kindly pay him so that he could foot his medical bills".

Former Group Managing Director (GMD) of the National Nigerian Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Andrew Yakubu

Mr Andrew Yakubu, former Group Managing Director of NNPC, wants the Federal High Court Abuja to award N1 billion in his favour against EFCC as damages and compensation for violation‎ of his right.

Counsel to Yakubu, Mr Adeola Adedipe told the court that the matter was brought pursuant to Order 8 Rule 4 of the Fundamental Rights Enforcement Procedure Rules.
Yakubu also prayed the court for a declaration that he was entitled to the dignity of his person, personal liberty, freedom of movement, private and family life as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.

Kidnapping in Bauchi State is now punishable with death or life imprisonment as Gov. Mohammed Abdullahi signed into law a bill in that direction.

The state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Ibrahim Umar, made this known on Tuesday while briefing newsmen in Bauchi.
He said that Abdullahi also assented to bills on fisheries and accidents.

Woman injected with heroin, raped and forced to perform sex acts on dog

Justin Mustafa was convinced girlfriend Gabbe Rowland had cheated on him while he was in prison when she told him she was pregnant with their baby. Then one morning in June 2013 he began a week of torture by forcing her to take drugs before beating her with a belt and filming her as he forced her into performing degrading sexual acts. Gabbe, from Cape Cod, in the US state of Massachusetts, eventually managed to escape and reported Mustafa to the police. He was given a six-year prison sentence and Gabbe waived her right to anonymity to share her story. Gabbe told how she reconnected with Mustafa, whom she'd known at school, on Facebook in 2010.

A survivor of domestic abuse has described the extreme torture she suffered at the hands of her partner.

Gabbe Rowland was subjected to a ‘week of hell’ by her jealous partner – during which he injected her with heroin, raped her, and forced her to perform a sex act on his dog.
Justin Mustafa, 27, had apparently convinced himself Gabbe cheated on him while he was in prison, after she told him she was pregnant with their child.

Iran which was named in the list has said it will not issue visas to Americans as long as the US refuses to issue visas to Iranians.

The new measures against the United States was revealed on Tuesday by the Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi.

A middle-aged woman identified as Tricia Oterneghoro has left her daughter, Joyce Emmanuel scarred after she poured hot soup on her for sleeping in a neighbours room.

The 13-year-old victim's breasts and chest region got burnt as a result of the incident. The woman has been arrested by the police. Residents in the area who rushed to administer first aid to the victim poured invectives on the victim’s mother over the incident.

Tension As Fulani Men Kidnap 52-year-old Woman in Ibadan


Three Fulani men were among five other suspects paraded by the Oyo State Police command for allegedly kidnapping a 52-year old business woman in Ibadan, Vanguard reports.

Armed robbers numbering about six, on Tuesday, attacked some corps members serving at Community Secondary School, Amanuke in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The incident happened at about 2:00am on Tuesday night.
Daily Sun gathered that the criminals raped one of the female corps members, took their phones, laptop computers, electronic gadgets, cloths, and important documents. Other valuables lost to the hoodlums included wallets, undisclosed amount of money, credit cards, one international passport, necklaces, and others.

Facebook slammed for 'failure to remove sexualised images of children'


Damian Collins, chairman of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, said he had "grave doubts" about the social media giant's ability to moderate content.

His comments came after the BBC said it used Facebook's "report button" to flag up 100 photos on the website, but 82 were not removed.

Instead, an automated response was provided which said the photos did not breach "community standards".

Four policemen killed, one injured following accident in Lagos


Four policemen have been killed after a lorry collided with their patrol car along Shagamu road, Isiwu, Ikorodu, Lagos on Sunday. The policemen attached to the X squad of the Lagos State Police Command were reportedly chasing another police patrol van believed to have extorted money from motorists when the fatal accident occurred. According to the Nation, three policemen died on the spot, the fourth died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) while the fifth officer, an assistant superintendent of police, sustained injuries and is being treated at LASUTH.

Abuja court sentences man to 12 years imprisonment for sexually abusing two boys


Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting in Wuse, Abuja, presided over by Hon. Justice M. M kolo, has sentenced a 48 – year-old man, Shehu Abubakar, to 12 years imprisonment for sexually abusing two boys. 
The convict was dragged to Court by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), under the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act 2015.
