I will NOT apologise to Remi Tinubu, says Melaye

In a closed-door session of the senate last Tuesday, Melaye and Tinubu had engaged in a brawl over an issue regarding the trial of the presiding officers of the upper legislative chamber for alleged forgery of the senate rule book, 2015 at an Abuja high court.

In the session, Melaye had allegedly threatened to beat up  and to “impregnate” Tinubu.

He later denied it, but he claimed that she called him a dog and a thug, which angered him to use invective on her.

The 275mph One:1 was being tested at the notorious Nurburgring circuit in Germany ahead of an attempt at the lap record when the accident happened.

At least 26 people are dead after a tourist bus smashed into a motorway guardrail in Taiwan and exploded into flames, it is reported.The vehicle was travelling along an airport expressway in the island’s Taoyuan region when it crashed into the railing and caught fire . 

Everyone onboard died, including at least 24 holidaymakers, the driver and the tour guide, according to Chinese media and officials.

17 year old attacks and injures 22 people with an axe

A 17 year old Afghan teenage refugee attacked passengers on a train in Germany on Monday night with an axe, leaving three people in critical condition and 19 others with minor injuries, in what was described by officials as a "probable" Islamist attack. The assailant, armed with a knife and an ax, was identified as a 17-year-old Afghan man living in Ochsenfurt, Bavaria, Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said.
The attack took place as the train was traveling between stations.

Tragedy in a Lagos Family as Drunken Man Stabs Sleeping Uncle to Death

A 55-year-old man identified as Ebere Akpu, has been stabbed to death in the Orile Agege area of Lagos State by a launderer, Monday Eze, after an argument over a minor issue on Sunday around 11pm.

According to Punch Newspaper, just after the minor issue, the suspect was said to have gone to a pub, where he became drunk, and while his uncle slept, he allegedly stabbed him in different parts of his body and Akpu died on Omotoye Estate where policemen from the Elere division recovered his corpse around 1:00am on Monday.

South Africa set to return $15m Nigeria’s arms fund

South Africa has said it will evolve a legal framework with Nigeria to avert a situation where the Federal Government’s funds for arms are seized in future.

The South African Secretary for Defence and Military Veterans, Dr. Sam Gulube, said this while fielding questions from journalists shortly after the opening ceremony of the Nigeria-South Africa Defence Industry inaugural seminar on Monday in Abuja.

The South African Revenue Service seized Nigeria’s $15m meant for arms purchase at Lanseria Airport, north-west of Johannesburg, on September 5, 2014, but the money had yet to be released almost two years after.
