An Australian chef chopped up and cooked his girlfriend before taking his own life in a grisly murder suicide.
Police were called to the Brisbane apartment of Marcus Volke, 28, after reports of a "eye-watering" smell like "rotting meat".
And shocked officers discovered the body parts of Volke's girlfriend Mayang Prasetyo in a pot on the stove.

Maria Lucia Mugno, 44, spent over 150 hours sewing the strands of hair to both the interior and exterior of her vehicle to take the title for the world's hairiest car.
Despite originally winning the title in 2010, the Italian added a further 20kg of hair to her furry Fiat to set a new record.

Nigeria’s military authorities have detained an army general who allegedly fled into the bush with his troops to avoid confrontation with Boko Haram militants.
The general who was coordinating the military onslaught to dislodge several Boko Haram terrorists from Bama, Gwoza, Madagali, Michika and other communities in Borno and Adamawa states fled when Boko Haram militants were coming face to face with his troops.
The General was accused of providing poor leadership and failing to instill confidence in the soldiers, resulting in many soldiers allegedly abandoning the fight against the terrorists while many were killed.
