An Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court on Friday sentenced a 20 year-old man, Elijah Adediran, to five years imprisonment for stealing ceiling fans.

Adediran, who resides at Ilode, Ile-Ife, was tried on two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, but found guilty for stealing.

Drunk Policeman crushes fresh graduate to death in Lagos

A graduate identified as Adelowo, was crushed to death around 8pm on Wednesday at the Gbagada bus stop, Lagos state by the driver of a police van with number plate, RRS 317 LA, suspected to be policeman.

The speeding van was said to be heading towards Oshodi, when the policeman reportedly lost the control of the vehicle and veered off the expressway to the service lane, crashing into the victim, who was waiting by the roadside to board a bus.

They urged residents to replace personal religious displays with posters of President Xi Jinping; more than 600 removed Christian symbols from their living rooms, and 453 hung portraits of the Communist leader, according to SCMP.

437 out of 689 foreign students fail Medical Dental Council of Nigeria examination


About 437 foreign medical students who sat for the Medical Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN examination recently, at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH have reportedly failed the exam following the release of the result.

The doctors who had been verified by US/MDCN questioned why only 243 allegedly passed out of the overall 689.
