Residents of Isheri attack Police Station after police raid that allegedly left one dead

Base 81 Isheri Police Division was on Saturday morning attacked by residents of Isheri, who claimed the police killed one of them during a raid on Friday.

According to the information gathered by Julia Blaise Blog (JBB), the police raided the area yesterday, and a body was found floating onto the river bank this morning, leading the community to believe  that the deceased drowned as a result of the raid.

Saudi Arabia on Saturday recalled its ambassador to Germany over remarks made by German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel after a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The remarks in question saw Gabriel criticise Saudi meddling in the affairs of Lebanon and describing Saudi foreign policy in the region as “adventurism.”

Kidnapped Boys Found In Reverend Sister’s Orphanage Home [Photo]


A 44-year-old Reverend Sister Chime Geraldine has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, for allegedly trafficking two young boys who were kidnapped between January and April 2017.

Saturday Vanguard gathered that the Revered Sister, who was attached to the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja and operated an orphanage home known as Oblek Foundation Orphanage Home, at Gwagalada Abuja, was arrested alongside her 35-years-old accomplice, Obie Okoro, who was said to be a member of a kidnap syndicate and supplied the kidnapped young boys to the Reverend sister.
