Man kills Businessman after duping him N2m over property


The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Mr. Festus Chuka, and an accomplice, Evans Odiwe, for allegedly killing a businessman, Innocent Nwankwo, over N2m. It was learnt that Nwankwo had paid Chuka the money to buy property for him in Asaba, the state capital.

According to PunchChuka denied receiving a credit alert from his bank after the victim paid the money, which started an argument between them.

On Tuesday, Harris County Coroner’s Office identified the remains of Mary Stewart Cerruti, the 61-year-old woman who was reported missing mysteriously since 2015. It has now been confirmed she never left her Houston Heights home.

Authorities now believe it is likely Cerruti fell through her attic floor and became wedged in the walls.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe says he has not granted former First Lady Grace Mugabe immunity from prosecution.

Cop Surrenders After Renting Guns To Criminals


A policeman who is wanted over allegations of renting out guns to criminals has surrendered. Senior sergeant Gabriel Rotich, 56 attached to DCI Kiambu division had been on the run for close to a week after a gun assigned to him was recovered from slain criminals.

EFCC arrests ex-SGF Babachir Lawal


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says it has arrested the former Secretary to Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

Mr. Lawal was arrested Wednesday, Channels Television reported.

Mr. Lawal was recently sacked after he was indicted by a presidential panel that investigated misuse of funds meant for people displaced by Boko Haram.
