A woman who tried to “boil her husband” by pouring scalding water over him after being told they were “getting divorced” has been jailed for four years.

Ken Gregory, 65, was the victim of a horrific domestic abuse attack which left him with first and second degree burns to his back and scalp after his wife Teresa Gilbertson, a former special constable, poured boiling water over his head in their bungalow in Peterborough last year. The scars from the assault remain and may never fade.

‘We’ve made rigging impossible,’ Jega says

The Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission(INEC), Attahiru Jega has said that the commission has made it impossible to rig in the upcoming general elections.

Jega also said that the attacks against him for insisting on using electronic card readers for the polls were being launched by potential election riggers.

Jasmiyah and Tasimyah Whitehead were 16 when they stabbed their mother, Jarmecca, 34, to death. They stabbed her so violently and repeatedly that they severed her spinal cord.

The twins attacked their mother after getting into an argument on January 13, 2010, at their home in Conyers, Georgia before school. They dragged her injured body to the bathtub and watched her die slowly, before setting out to school.
