Notorious Nigerian Drug Trafficker Who Supplied Cannabis Worth N598 Million Jailed In UK (Photo)


A corrupt postal delivery driver who conspired to intercept and supply cannabis worth at least £1.2million (N598million) which had been sent to addresses in north London has been jailed today (9 March).

The Nigerian, Adewale Aderounmu, 55, of south London, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey last year to one charge of conspiring to supply drugs and was today sentenced to 7.5 years in prison at the same court.

Nigeria Immigration Service, Akwa Ibom command, has trained a total of 130 officers and men of the command on effective leadership and efficient service delivery.

The NIS State Comptroller, CIS Livingstone Amadi, disclosed this on Saturday in Uyo while speaking with newsmen at a leadership training session for 30 officers of the command.

Amadi said that the command had earlier trained 100 officers and men on the best practices of border security and management.

Two men identified as Inyang Patrick and Ibah Edet have been accused ofrape and  subsequently arrested by police in Calabar, Cross River, after they allegedly drugged a girl identified as Miss Umoh Joy and also went ahead to have carnal knowledge of her.

They were also reported to have made video recordings of the act and then went further to blackmail the girl with threats to circulate the video across social media if she refused to cooperate with them by paying some amounts of money.
