Dangote sues Zambian minister over bribe claim

Dangote Industries Zambia is suing the country’s labour minister, Fackson Shamenda, for defamation after he claimed that a senior company official tried to bribe him, court documents showed Monday.
The subsidiary of Nigeria's Dangote Group -- owned by Aliko Dangote who is ranked by Forbes magazine as the richest man in Africa -- is claiming unspecified damages for slander and libel as well as special damages in the sum of 112,042.84 kwacha ($17,728), according to documents filed in the High Court.

And the firm has announced that as a result, the makers of the energy drink has set aside $13 million as a result of two class action lawsuits for false advertising, according to Metro UK.
According to the firm, anyone who is applying for compensation will be entitled to $10 cash or £15 in Red Bull products, as long as they purchased the energy drink  between Tuesday, January 1, 2002 and Wednesday, October 3, 2014, although it is only available to consumers in the US.

Michael Essien has taken to his Twitter account, to refute reports that surfaced on Sunday evening, claiming that he had contracted the deadly Ebola virus.
He wrote: “No truth in internet rumours that I have contracted Ebola.i m very well & I’m doing very gud & will be training as usual tomorrow. #falsenews”

The Ghanaian midfielder currently plays for AC Milan in the Italian Serie A, having previously featured for Chelsea in the Premier League.

 The daughter of former military administrator of Kano and Benue States and former NFA president, Brigadier General Dominic Oneya, Frances Oneya (pictured above) was shot dead by suspected armed robbers on Friday October10th after she left a bank in Delta State.

According to friends who shared her sad demise on her Facebook wall, the mother of four was shot dead while seating in the driver seat of her car after she went to a bank to cash money. The incident happened around 10:40am on Friday along Ovie Palace road, Effurun by KW junction).
