French Montana has been honoured with the Global Citizen Ambassador for his incredible efforts in Uganda.

The "Unforgettable" rapper received the honor at a ceremony in NYC Friday night. French filmed the music video for his 2017 hit with Swae Lee in Uganda, where he witnessed the country's healthcare hardships first hand.

Nigeria Olympic star Sadiq Umar signs to NAC Breda on loan from Roma


Nigeria Olympic striker, Sadiq Umar has been signed on loan until the end of the season by Dutch club NAC Breda. The tall forward arrives from Italy's AS Roma, who Umar joined in July 2015 from second tier side Spezia Calcio.

"Sadiq (Umar) is a very talented player who has already played at the top level," Technical director Hans Smulders told Breda's official website.

Security Guard Shot By NSCDC Officer Attached To Commissioner In Imo State


A security guard working at East Gate Hotel, Owerri , Imo State, Chizorom Anayo , was saved by passersby after he was shot by a member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, on Tuesday. It was learnt that the 43 -year-old guard , who hails from the Ohaji/ Egbema Local Government Area of the state, was allegedly shot around 8 .20 pm by the NSCDC official attached to the state Commissioner for Public Safety , Chidi Nwaturuocha .

LCC To Increase Lekki & Ikoyi Toll Fares By February


The Lekki Concession Company Limited has announced that it will increase the toll tariffs being charged at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza on the Lekki-Epe Expressway and the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Toll Plaza with effect from Thursday, February 1, 2018.

The LCC said in a statement on Friday that the upward review of the tolls followed “extensive consultations held with stakeholders in the Eti-Osa/Lekki-Epe Expressway of Lagos State.

The operatives of the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) have arrested a staff member of a new generation bank, Christian Amechi, who allegedly helped fraudsters to steal millions of naira from customers account using a string of impersonators.

Amechi, who until his arrest, was serving at the ATM customers service unit, of the bank in  Victoria Island Lagos,  is currently being detained at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command.

Supreme Court affirms conviction of ex-Kogi lawmaker, Daudu, for N1.4bn fraud


The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the conviction and sentencing of a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and ex-Caretaker Chairman, Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of the state, Gabriel Daudu, for N1.4bn fraud.

Daudu was  arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before the Federal High Court  in April 2010.

17-year-old beats father to death in Bauchi


The Bauchi State police command, have arrested a 17-year-old boy, Nuhu Bulus, for allegedly beating his father to death.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Kamal Datti, while parading the suspect confirmed that the boy killed the father by hitting him with a mud pot, wood and Sickle.
