A 400 level law student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Oladipo Olalekan Ige was found dead in his room outside the campus.
Dipo is believed to have to committed suicide as he left a note in his room before going ahead with the act on Sunday evening.
According to sources, Dipo was reported to be suffering from depression.
The late Dipo stayed off campus, at Asherifa, an area not far from the school itself.
His body has been taken to the morgue

US damns Nigeria’s human rights record

A new report by the United  States has described Nigeria as a country where corruption, official impunity, and gross human rights violations occur at will.

The report described the human rights violations to include extra-judicial killings, rape, torture, mistreatment of detainees, destruction of property, violence against women, vigilante killings, child labour, forced and bonded labour, and discrimination based on sexual orientation.

7 dead in Boko Haram attack in Cameroon

Seven people were killed on Sunday when Boko Haram militants launched an assault in northern Cameroon, a Cameroonian security source said.
“Boko Haram killed a (Cameroonian) soldier. Our soldiers killed six of their guys” and “captured” two others near the Nigerian border, the source told AFP on Monday, requesting anonymity.
