FG faults ASUU’s claim on agreement

The Federal Government has denied reneging on the Memorandum of Understanding reached with the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The National Treasurer of ASUU, Dr. Ademola Aremu, had told journalists in Ibadan on Saturday that the Federal Government had yet to release the N55bn for the first quarter as contained in the agreement.

ASUU Tasks FG on Release of N55bn to Varsities

 

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has tasked the federal government to release N55 billion due to its varsities before the end of the first quarter of this year in line with the agreement reached with the union during negotiations to end its five-month-old strike.

Two Men Released From Prison After Serving 21 Years In Jail

Antonio Yarbough and Sharrif Wilson, the men who were convicted in the 1992 murder of Yarbough's mother, 12-year old sister, and little cousin were freed after a DNA evidence proved that they were innocent.
