Bleaching products can cause infertility, kidney failure, others

Medical experts have have warned Nigerians on the dangers of using bleaching products.

Dr Akinlolu Siyanbola, a dermatologist at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Hospital, Osogbo, and Dr Abimbola Ibrahim in their separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo, maintained that consistent usage of  bleaching products over a long period could lead to kidney failure, cancer and infertility.

A popular Yoruba actor, Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi in Nollywood  has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping one of his daughter’s friends at Osogbo, his home town.
The Yoruba actor, known for violent roles in Yoruba films was arrested last Tuesday by the Police and detained at the Oke-Baale division of the Nigeria Police, after the victim had reported him.

Sporadic shooting mars Immigration recruitment exercise in Ogun

                       

The recruitment exercise by the Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, took a dangerous dimension on Saturday when security officials, in trying to control the crowd, shot sporadically in the air.

Security officials also allegedly used horsewhips on the thousands of youths gathered at the Mudashiru Lawal Stadium, Asero, Abeokuta, venue of the recruitment exercise.
