Leaked images appearing to show the dead body of Dallas sniper Micah Johnson after he was blown up by a 'bomb robot' appear genuine, a former US Army explosives expert has told Daily Mail Online.

The Dallas Police Department has refused to say whether the gruesome photos anonymously posted online Sunday evening are genuine images of the slain cop killer.
But Bryan Woolston, a former senior explosive ordnance disposal technician with the US Army, said that the blast scene depicted in the photos and the state of the corpse were consistent with the remote controlled bomb tactic used to kill Johnson. 

No sickle cell screening, no wedding – Anambra govt

The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has said intending couples in the state who fail to screen for sickle cell syndrome before formalising their marriages would be punished.
He said such violators would be denied certain privileges from the state government.
To ensure that intending couples go for the test, the governor stated that his administration would partner with churches in the state to enforce the order.
The governor, who spoke through his Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike, at a ceremony to mark this year’s Sickle Cell Day in Awka, said it was part of the state government’s determination to eradicate sickle cell disease.

Joylene Cunningham used a blade to slash her boyfriend Sean Harman’s face – resulting in him needing 18 stitches.
The 30-year-old Cunningham had told York Crown Court she thought the slash was caused from a ring or a glass he was holding – but when her ring was examined by Recorder of York, Judge Paul Batty QC, it was found to be blunt.

The leader of a cult group who was arrested arrested over the weekend by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command in has said that no amount of gun – shot can penetrate his body.
The cult suspect, Andrew Awalebi, 35, who belonged to Eiye Confraternity, was arrested on Friday morning at a beer parlour in company of three other cult members around 8:00 a.m.
Two other members of the cult group, Adegoke Adeleke (30), Kehinde Adebogun (31), were also picked up early Saturday morning at an hotel in Ikorodu.
