A student of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Damilola Adegoke has reportedly committed suicide by drinking “sniper”. Details are still sketchy but it was gathered that on Tuesday, Damilola’s mum came back home to find her daughter lying on the floor with an insecticide.

The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has said that candidates who experienced technical issues while sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination would be rescheduled to resit the examination.
He said candidates to resit the exams include those who were logged out by the systems and could not answer the questions.

Grief pervaded Ogunseye and Dipo Olubi streets, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos State, on Thursday following the tragic death of a family of five in an overnight fire.

The victims were a couple identified only as Hope (wife) and Hygnius and their three children, Ada, 9, Nonso, 7, and six-year-old Ugochukwu.

Lagos, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Rivers recorded the highest number of complaints against police officers by members of the public.
The Public Compliant Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) disclosed this in its 2017 first quarter report released in Abuja Thursday.
According to the report, the Unit received 498 cases between January and March this year from various parts of the country.

This sad incident happened in Argentina. Some teenagers were playing with a shotgun when one of them accidentally shot Georgina Magalí Vega, 12, an only daughter, killing her instantly.

The Ludhiana police on Wednesday, May 17th, arrested two Nigerian nationals identified as Celestine Ikeweta (37) and Edeh Sunday Chukwudi, 29, from Delhi for supplying drugs in Punjab and recovered 2kg heroin from two places in the district after their interrogation.

Deputy inspector general (Ludhiana range) Yurinder Singh Hayer said that during investigation of a previous case in which an accused, Balvir Singh, was arrested with heroin, it was found that two Nigerians, residing at Vikas Puri in New Delhi, are the suppliers of the drugs.
